Our class of summer interns is starting to roll in. We expect a total of eight undergraduate students from a variety of institutions. Their assignments will represent all the science specialties as well as one information technology intern. Typically, they will learn the basics of scientific research and will have at least one specific research question to answer by the end of the summer.
Claire Chojnacki is a Georgia Tech biology major from Alpharetta. She is working in Marc Frischer’s lab. This summer, Claire will be working on establishing a doliolid culture. This project will include developing an in situ fluorescence assay to simplify the culturing protocol and assess algal clearance by the doliolids in the culture.
