It was a quite a year full of research and education at the University of Georgia Skidaway Institute of Oceanography. 2024 kicked off with the R/V Savannah returning home after a mid-life refit, which consisted of major upgrades and a 12-foot extension, and wrapped up with a successful Semester at Skidaway program, which brought seven undergraduate students to the coast for a semester of hands-on, experiential learning.
